Our Beginnings

The Ranch's story

Catalena Ranch is currently the home of Sable, Kudu, Nyala and Dama. The Ranch began in 2016 as a cattle operation and quickly became a family passion. Everyone was involved. In 2023, the Catalenas started investigating super exotic breeding operations and visited many ranches around the state of Texas. They put careful consideration into selecting the right species, taking time to get good genetics and building excellent infrastructure. The Ranch finally welcomed its first super exotics in the summer of 2024.

Our People

Family matters.

We work very well together, always have and always will. The whole family is invested in the ranch as both labor and business consultants. Family dinners commonly involve discussions of future endeavors in ranching, business, and travel. Extended family and friends are often welcomed to enjoy the ranch's hilltop view of the Aggieland skyscape for quiet rocking chair moments and large celebrations.

We believe and affirm that family is a gift from God – people to hold close in the easy and hard times, and people to treasure through every moment.
